1. Definition

4. Medication
Blood stasis in kidney vessel is usually treated by medicines invigorating blood; stagnation of kidney collateral is often treated by medicines dredging collaterals; heat in kidney meridian can be eliminated using medicines clearing heat; pathogenic cold in kidney should be eliminated with medicines warming yang; edema caused by untransformed kidney qi can be treated with aquaretics.
5. Administration
Every time 2 packages; 2—3 times per day; hot compress with Chinese medicines on bilateral Shenshu acupoints (BL23); 4—6 times in all; short course of treatment for seven days, long course of treatment for 49 days.

The medicines for full bath permeate into striae and meridians through pores and acupoints, enter into viscera along meridians, disperse lung and open orifice, warm kidney and strengthen yang. With such actions, they can restore dispersing and descending of lung as well as steaming and transforming of kidney, discharge toxic pathogen in meridians through sweat and in viscera through urine.
4. Medication
Bath in the medicinal decoction made from medicines with discharging function.
Cold should be treated with medicines that can warm kidney and strengthen yang; Heat should be treated with medicines that can clear heat and eliminate dampness; pain should be treated with medicines that can promote qi circulation and relieve pain; Edema should be treated with medicines that can induce diuresis for removing edema.
5. Administration
Bath in 5000 ml decoction with optimum temperature (35℃-40℃ is desirable. The temperature can be also adjusted according to different patients.) Usually, immersion bath lasts for 40-90 minutes, it can be adjusted according to different patients.
With addition of massaging acupoints, effects will be better.
Short course of treatment for seven days, long course of treatment for 49 days.

Mainly choose acupoints on kidney meridian, bladder meridian, spleen meridian, stomach meridian, du-vessel (governor vessel) and ren-vessel (conception vessel).
Frequently used acupoints: Qihai (CV 6), Guanyuan (CV 4), Shenque (CV 8),Xuehai (SP 10), Zushanli (ST 36), Taixi (KI 3), Yongquan (KI 1), Shenshu (BL 23), Pangguangshu (BL 28), Shuifen (CV 9), Shuidao (ST 28), Sanjiaoshu (BL 22), etc.
4. Administration
Use two doses of moxibustion recipe per day. Add moxa roll or moxa floss to the powder grinded for moxibustion.
Both manual moxibustion and full-automatic intelligent moxibustion bed can be used.
