What are the Causes of Type 2 Diabetes

Type 2 diabetes is often called adult diabetes because it mainly occurs to people above 35-40 and it accounts for more than 90% diabetes cases. It is relative shortage of insulin and therefore it is milder than type 1 diabetes.

2. Obesity. Hereditary factors can cause obesity as well as type 2 diabetes especially those that have fats in their bellies.

3. Age. The elder are more susceptible to type 2 diabetes and there are half type 2 diabetes patients develop the disease after 55 years old.

4. Modern lifestyles. Long term intake of high-calery foods and lack of physical exercises are the causes of type 2 diabetes.
