What Are All Symptoms Of Kidney FailureWhen you have kidney failure, you will have some discomforts which are signs of kidney problems. Well, what are symptoms of kidney failure? Knowing the symptoms of kidney disease can help you get the treatment you need to feel your best.

Symptoms of kidney failure include the following:

1. Urination changes

Kidneys make urine, so when the kidneys are failing, the urine may change such as frequent urination at night, foamy or bubbly urine, blood in urine and difficulty urination.

2. Swelling

Failing kidneys fail to remove extra fluid, which builds up in your body causing swelling in the legs, ankles, feet, face and/or hands. The swelling may be obvious especially in the morning. After rest, the swelling may disappear or be relieved.

3. Fatigue

Healthy kidneys make a hormone called erythropoietin that tells your body to make oxygen-carrying red blood cells. As the kidneys fail, they make less erythropoietin so that less red blood cells will be generated. With deficient red blood cells to carry oxygen, your muscle and brain will become tired very quickly. This condition is anemia and fatigue is one of its complications.

4. Itchy skin

Itchy skin is a common symptom in kidney failure. This is because failed kidneys cannot remove wastes from the bloodstream as well as before. Under such a condition, wastes usually build up in your blood, causing severe itching.

5. Bad taste in your mouth

A buildup of waste in the blood can make food taste different and cause bad breath. Many patients complain that they have metallic taste in mouth and amonia breath.

6. Nausea and vomiting

Nausea and vomiting can also be caused by a severe buildup of waste in the blood.

7. Shortness of breath

Trouble catching your breath can be caused by two reasons. First, extra fluid in the body can build up in the lungs. Second, anemia can leave your body oxygen-starved and short of breath.

8. Cold

Anemia can make you feel cold all the time, even in a warm room.

9. Dizziness and difficulty in concentration

Anemia in kidney failure can lead to memory problems, trouble with concentration and dizziness.

The above are some common symptoms of kidney failure. If you suffer from one of the symptoms or you suspect that you may have kidney failure, you should see a doctor as soon as possible.
