Your symptoms indicate that you do have lower than normal blood sugar level. This may not definitely indicate you have diabetes which is in most cases characterized by higher than normal blood sugar level. Low blood sugar might be caused by a variety of factors such as excessive intake of alcohol, renal dysfunction or thyroid problem. Sometimes dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms can be alleviated after taking some sugar.

In your case, the low blood sugar might not be that simple since you have experienced these symptoms for one year. If your blood sugar level is always in this low level, the problem is not diabetes but other conditions such as problems and diseases in adrenal, thyroid or pituitary.

Of cause diabetes has something relation with hypoglycemia. Hypoglycemia is not caused by diabetes itself but is an unfavorable side effect of diabetes treatments. Excessive take of diabetes medications or insulin will lower the blood sugar more than it supposed to do.

Anyway, you need to measure your blood sugar level to first rule out the possibility of diabetes and then find out the exact cause and take proper and timely measures.

Here are some tips for coping with hypoglycemia

Have regular work and rest timing and maintain adequate sleep

Have regular daily exercises

Do not have too much sweet, salty and greasy foods and have more roughage and green vegetables.
