Pinching Pain In Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease

Has anyone in stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease ever felt a quick pinching pain in one of their kidneys? It happened to me last night. It was brief but painful enough that it made me yelp and wake up. Does that pain mean anything like a decline in kidney function?

PKD is a genetic disease of the kidneys in which several cysts cover the kidneys. This condition sometimes can lead to pain that is dull and aching, and is felt in the front instead of the back.

Kidney cancer

In the kidneys there are rarely cancerous growths, but when they do it can result in pain. The pain caused by kidney caner is the type that is dull and constant.

Blockage of urine flow

Apart from a kidney stone, other types of disorders can result in the flow of urine becoming gradually blocked. In such cases, the kidney usually becomes engorged, resulting in a dull and aching kidney.
