Proteinuria or foamy urine, as a dominant symptom of kidney problem, also occur among Hypertensive Nephropathy patients. But compared with many other kidney problems patients, proteinuria caused by Hypertension is relatively mild.

Glomerulus, which is a capillary group, filters blood, during which wastes are excreted out and meanwhile nutrient substances like protein is kept in body. However, because of high blood pressure, impact to capillary wall increases. Under such a condition, some protein leak out and get out of body with urine, forming protein urine.

Proteinuria, although is one of the consequences of persistent high blood pressure, worsen kidney damages. Therefore, reducing protein in urine is necessary for Hypertensive Nephropathy patients to stop the progression of disease.

Proteinuria appears among Hypertensive Nephropathy because of long-term high blood pressure. So to control this symptom, we need to bring high blood pressure under control firstly. In serious cases of Hypertensive Nephropathy, aside from controlling symptoms, repairing kidney damage is also of primary importance for remitting proteinuria.

Proteinuria worsen kidney damages; thereby, to reduce protein in urine, some Hypertensive Nephropathy patients restrict protein intake strictly. Actually, protein get into urine because of damaged glomerular filtration membrane or damaged renal tubule. Without repairing these damaged renal tissues, protein continue to leak out. Therefore, limiting protein intake is not a fundamental method at all.
