3. Foods with low potassium
Low-potassium diet helps FSGS patients to prevent heart problem. Therefore, eating these foods with low potassium will be beneficial for FSGS patients.
Foods with low potassium include bread, cake, cookies, noodles, pasta, alfalfa sprouts, carrots, cucumber, eggplant, onions, blackberries, cherries and so on.
4. Foods with low phosphorus
High levels of phosphorus restrains calcium intake, which can cause bone diseases. Therefore, if lab tests show FSGS patients have elevated phosphorus level, foods with low phosphorus will be suggested.
Foods with low phosphorus include white rice, regular pasta, couscous, crackers, bread, rolls, bagels, cereal, croissants, muffins, hot apple cider, asparagus, cabbage, peppers, onions, tomatoes and squash and so on.
