His research and expertises
Professor Zheng, Falei is mainly engaged in researches and studies of metabolism and early prevention of chronic renal failure as well as medicines' renal toxicity, renal tubular interstitial diseases and electrolyte metabolism, etc.
Focuses of his researches are metabolic disorder and nutritional therapy for chronic kidney disease (CKD), mechanism and intervention of renal interstitial fibrosis, renal tubular diseases and renal toxicity of some medicines and drugs.
His achievements
He pays more attention to the combination of theories and practices and has rich clinical experiences. He is highly skilled in diagnosing and treating obstinate renal medical diseases.
He is the first person in China to report the application of essential amino acids and α-Ketoacid in treating renal failure as well as type IV renal tubular acidosis, rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis with hemorrhagic interstitial pneumonia, etc. His studies and researches have played positive role for improving levels of dianosis and treatments for kidney diseases.
He has published more than 260 medical thesis since 1980. He is the chief editor and translator of treatises and one medical classics Conn's Current Therapy.
