What Side Effects Go Along With Dialysis

2015-10-08 03:14

What Side Effects Go Along With DialysisDialysis is a form of treatment in which excess waste and fluid is removed from your body when your kidneys are unable to perform this function. However, it also brings some side effects. Well, what side effects go along with dialysis?

1. Infection

One of the most common side effects in dialysis is infection. Dialysis involves the placement of tubes within the body to allow for the drainage and filtration of extra fluid and waste. The frequency of dialysis treatments increases the risk for infection. Infection can make you have fever, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting or body aches.

2. Dry or itchy skin

Dry or itchy skin is experienced by many patients undergoing dialysis, especially in winter. Itchy skin occurs because of the presence of toxins within the blood that dialysis cannot completely remove from your body.

3. Low blood pressure

Low blood pressure is another common side effect of dialysis. The two primary causes are gaining excess fluid weight between sessions and having a weak heart.

4. Sleeping difficulties

Sleeping difficulties are common among patients who receive dialysis treatment. These treatments can be given at night while you are sleeping, which may lead to difficulty falling or staying asleep. Some dialysis patients also develop uncomfortable or painful sensation within the legs.

With these side effects, most kidney disease patients reject dialysis. Well, does it mean they only wait for death?

Of course not. Other than dialysis, there are many alternative remedies for renal disease. Nowadays the most effective treatment is Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy which is based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) but used externally. Besides, different formula works for different conditions. This therapy focuses on repairing kidney damage and improving kidney function quickly because the herbal ingredients can permeate into kidney tissues directly through skin, with the help of effective penetrant and osmosis devices. This therapy can help block primary disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes or immune disorder, repair damaged kidney tissues and rebuild normal kidney structure. That is, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy treats kidney disease in 3 steps “block+repair+rebuild”. Moreover, this therapy is not a “one-for-all-size” therapy, which requires different herbal formula as medical conditions change.  When your kidney function is improved, you can live a normal and happy life.
