How to Lower Creatinine 1.9 through Diets

Serum creatinine level of 1.9 is slightly higher than the normal range (0.5-1.2mg/dl) and it indicates minor damage of the glomerular filtration membrane. Since the metabolic wastes all need to be discharged through the kidneys’ filtration, therefore proper diet is an important factor for reducing kidneys’ burdens and slowing down the illness progression.

Only diet is not enough to lower creatinine. The root cause of high serum creatinine is damage of renal intrinsic cells and tissues. High creatinine is only the manifestation of renal damages and it should not be the ultimate aim to just lower creatinine level.

More effective treatments should aim to repair damaged renal tissues, improve ischemia and hypoxia, speed up the degradation of extracellular matrix, recover kidney structures and functions, so that the creatinine will be lowered naturally from the root.
