High Creatinine Levels Treatment

2013-03-05 09:50

Persistently high creatinine and rising creatinine levels are one major concern for many people. If it can not be treated timely, it will become even higher and cause many problems such as metabolic acidosis, metabolic disorders of water, sodium, potassium and patients will experience many discomforts such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, headache, loss of appetite, swelling, high blood pressure, pulmonary edema, heart failure, etc.

The following is an overview about the treatment options present for high creatinine levels.

When creatinine level is higher than normal range but lower than 8.0mg/dl.

Diuretics. Diuretics can help improve urine output so as to help wash more metabolic wastes and toxins from the kidneys and blood.

ACEI drugs. ACEI drugs are effective at controlling high blood pressure, reducing protein in urine so as to much slow the illness progression and prevent further elevation of creatinine level in the blood.

Natural herbs. There are many natural herbs that can help lower high creatinine. Some function as natural diuretics, some have anti-inflammatory properties and some can help control blood pressure and blood sugar. Nettle leaf tea, spring hog weed are all effective at treating high creatinine.

Ketosteril. It needs to be combined with low-protein diets. It can provide essential amino acids and at the same time reducing the production of urea and other nitrogenous wastes. It can help lower high creatinine and high BUN.

When creatinine level is higher than 8 and Ccr (creatinine clearance rate) is below 5.

Dialysis will be started when creatinine is greater than 8 or the patient’ life might be threatened. Dialysis can help remove excessive accumulation of creatinine and other wastes out of the blood so to purify the bloodstream and relieve symptoms. All the above mentioned treatments - diuretics, antihypertensive drugs, herbal remedies, ketosteril can be applied to patients that are on dialysis.

However creatinine will once again become high after dialysis, therefore patients have to have several times dialysis each week until they have chance to have kidney transplant.

Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy

Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is based on Traditional Chinese Medicines with the combination of advanced osmosis technology to greatly improve the effectiveness and efficacy of Chinese medicines. It aims at repairing damaged renal tissues and improving kidney functions so as to lower high creatinine levels from the root.
