-Avoid drug abuse in case that they have renal toxicity.

-Improve anemia to ensure that enough blood flows to kidneys.

-Do urine test and blood test regularly to have a general knowledge of your kidney function.

If you are in end stage renal failure, you should do the following things.

In this stage, there is less than 15 % kidney function. There are more symptoms and body malaise.

-Control your diet strictly. For example, sodium intake should be less than 6 g. Protein intake should no more than 0.6 g/kg per day. And avoid food high in potassium to prevent hyperkalemia.

-Improve anemia

-Limit water intake to prevent swelling. The mount of water intake should be the urine output last day plus 500 cc water.

-Do physical examination regularly.
