ACEI and ARB are also important medicines for treating proteinuria and reducing protein leakage in urine. What is more, ACEI and ARB can help reduce high blood pressure and this will slow down the illness progression and achieve a better prognosis.

To treat proteinuria from the root, kidney functions should be recovered or protein will once again appear in urine after the medicines are stopped or under some inducements such as cold, fever, infections, etc.
