Creatinine 1.4 And Uric Acid 9.9: What Does It MeanCreatinine and uric acid level are two important indicator of kidney function. Too much or too little of these levels should be stressed. Well then, what does this mean with creatinine 1.4 and uric acid 9.9?

1. What does high creatinine level and high uric acid level mean?

Normal creatinine level is 0.6 to 1.2mg/dL for men and 0.5 to 1.1 for women. With normal kidney function, serum creatinine level should remain constant. Only in renal disorders will creatinine be abnormally elevated. Creatinine 1.4mg/dL is higher than the normal range, which indicates kidney disorder.

Normal uric acid level is between 3 to 7mg/dL. Uric acid is normally dissolved in the blood and excreted from the body during urination. High uric acid level is a sign of kidney disease.

2. What causes kidney damage?

High blood pressure

High blood pressure is one of the leading causes of kidney disease. A long term untreated or poorly treated high blood pressure can damage kidneys.

Diabetes

Diabetes is another leading cause of kidney disease often called diabetic nephropathy. It occurs due to harmful long term effects of high blood sugar, or glucose, on the kidneys.

Infections

Severe infections can decline kidney function. Urinary tract infections, septicemia and acute polynephritis are responsible for many cases of kidney damage.

3. How to lower high creatinine level and uric acid level?

The radical solution should repair injured kidneys and improve renal function. Nowadays only Chinese Medicines have such a function. Chinese medicine like Mai Kang Mixture, Medicated Foot Bath, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy and Medical soup, steaming therapy, etc is a systematic therapy. Since medical condition is different, treatment will also be different. After a period of treatment, kidney function can be improved, thus lowering high creatinine level and high uric acid level.
