Recently more and more people are diagnosed with chronic kidney diseases. Kidney disease especially chronic kidney diseases are characterized by high recurrent rate and obstinacy, therefore patients should pay more attention to every details in their daily life and take proper nursing cares. Beside scientific and systemic treatments and reasonable diets and nutrition, good and positive emotions are also very important for them. There are 3 negative emotions that they should avoid.
1. Anger. According to traditional Chinese theory, anger will damage the liver and this will cause transformation of detoxification to the kidneys and increase the kidney’s burden.
2. Anxiety. Kidney diseases are refractory and easy to relapse and patients usually need to receive long time treatment and they are easy to have anxious emotion and this will cause high tension state of the cerebral cortex and play negative role for disease recovery.
3. Pessimism. Patients are very easy to have pessimistic emotions and lose hope for life especially if there is no obvious effect or the disease often relapse after years’ of treatments and frequent changing kidney disease hospitals. However kidney experts say that this is actually one factor that affecting the curative effect. The more pessimistic the patient is , the more hard the recovery, therefore positive emotions are very important.
It is understandable that kidney disease patients will have such negative emotions. However these bad mood have no use but aggravating the illness condition. What is more, bad mood will further damage the immune system and lower the immunity. Though we can not determine the disease, we can determine our attitude towards it. Only with optimistic and positive mood, can patients have hope for recovery.
Positive emotions, correct attitude and good life and work habits are all important for an early and good curative effect. Do not be scared by kidney diseases, just face it and seek the most appropriate treatment positively.
