Have Chronic Kidney Disease: Is It Good To Have PapayaIs it good for the kidney? I have been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) and my doctor suggests me to have a kidney-friendly diet expect for timely treatment. And I love papaya very much, so I would like to know if papaya is a healthy diet for kidney disease patients.

As a matter of fact, kidney disease patients can eat papaya, because it contains some health benefits and it has a great significance in patients’ illness conditions. What is the health benefits of papaya?

1. Fibrin in papaya

Papaya is rick in fibrin which has the function to reduce the risk of blood clots and improve the quality of blood cells as well as maintain the smooth flow of blood in the circulatory system. In this way, it will improve the micro-circulation blood flow to kidneys, thus alleviating renal ischemia and hypoxia. This plays a great role for restoring kidney damage. Moreover, fibrin in papaya is also able to prevent stroke. For chronic kidney disease patients, taking papaya regularly is able to reduce the suffering of stroke.

2. Vitamin C

Vitamin C rich in papaya is able to enhance patients’ immune system. With the advancement of CKD, patients will have low immune system and tend to be attacked by various bacteria. For this reason, patients can consume papaya regularly to enhance their immune system.

3. Carpaine in papaya

The substance, carpaine in papaya, is able to ease muscle cramps and systremma naturally.

4. Cleanse your blood flow

Due to kidney damage, excess wastes and toxins pile up in your blood and they will pollute your blood flow, causing many discomforts, like vomiting, nausea and poor appetite as well as high creatinine and blood urea nitrogen. Papaya has the function to eliminate peroxide and other wastes from the blood so as to purify your blood flow so as to alleviate the above symptoms or discomforts.

Nevertheless, it does not mean all kidney disease patients can eat papaya. Because some substances in papaya will worsen kidney conditions. For example, papaya is high in potassium. Damaged kidneys are prone to lead to high potassium level in human body. In this case, they should not have papaya; otherwise it will worsen kidney condition and cause severe heart problems like irregular heart diseases, heart attack or stroke. Thus, for patients with high potassium level, they need to avoid papaya intake. \
